Free, without the catch

Most free servers go to sleep as soon as the last player leaves, and everyone waits in a queue to wake them up. Here is what changes.

  • Never returned to the pool

The free offer is a real server on the same machines as the paid ones. It exists so you can try the panel before spending anything.

A panel that shows you the way

You do not need to know what a server is. The panel walks you through the first steps, and stays out of the way once you know them.

Two steps done. Next, drop your world in the files tab, or keep the fresh one: your friends can join right now.

Your first server2 of 5
  1. Choose your game
  2. Name your server
  3. Upload your world or your mods
  4. Invite your friends
  5. Play
You keep your filesEvery world, config and plugin is yours: browse them in the panel, download them by SFTP, take them elsewhere whenever you want.
You see everythingThe live console, the CPU and RAM your server actually uses, and every action logged. No hidden limits.
You ask, someone answersStuck on a mod that will not load? Open a ticket or ask on Discord: the person who runs Alama reads them all.

Ask before you buy

The Discord is where players and the person behind Alama talk: setup questions, mod advice, and the news of what is coming.

What you are buying, plainly

No marketing numbers. Here is what runs your server and who is behind it.

Hosted in FranceOne data center, a resilient network covered against most attacks, Intel Xeon Scalable processors.
Isolated containersEvery server runs in its own container: another customer's crash never touches yours.
Backups includedPaid servers get daily backups you can restore yourself from the panel.
A small companyAlama is run by one developer who answers tickets himself, 7 days a week. That is the whole team.
How long before my server is up?

About a minute after payment: the panel installs the game, and the console shows you when it is ready.

Can I bring my own world, mods or plugins?

Yes. Upload them from the files tab of the panel or by SFTP, then restart the server.

Is the free Minecraft server really free?

Yes, no card needed. It stays on as long as someone connects at least once every 7 days; after that it goes back to the pool and you can take another one.

What happens if I stop paying?

The server stops at the end of the paid month. Your files stay downloadable for 7 days, then they are deleted.

How do I get help?

From the panel, open a ticket; or ask on the Discord. Both are read by the person who runs Alama.
